Noah (Nooh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Indeed We sent Nooh towards his people saying that, “Warn your people before the painful punishment comes upon them.” 1 He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open: 2 "That ye should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me: 3 That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew. 4 He said: my Lord! Verily I have called my people night and day. 5 “So for them, my calling them increased their fleeing away.” 6 Each time I called them so that You might forgive them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and wrapped themselves in their garments, and persisted becoming very proud. 7 Then I called them loudly and more openly, 8 Then verily I spake unto them openly and secretly. I also addressed them. 9 "I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; 10 and He will loose heaven upon you in torrents 11 and will provide you with wealth and children, and will bestow upon you gardens and rivers. 12 What aileth you that ye expect not in Allah majesty! 13 When He created you by (divers) stages? 14 See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony, 15 And made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp? 16 how God has produced you from the earth and caused you to grow, 17 Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction. 18 God has spread out the earth 19 that thereof you may thread ways, ravines." 20
