No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the people of the right hand 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 about the guilty ones: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
