Nay, by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
