Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit), 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
