Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
