Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
