Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
