The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extending columns. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
