The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 it is no merriment. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
