Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
