Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
