Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
