Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
