He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
