He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 noble, pious. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruit and grass - 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
