The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So by oath of those, the planets that revolve. 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
