Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble scribes, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
