Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 watching over you 11 They know all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
