Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 watching over you 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
