The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 when they measure against the people, take full measure 2 And who, when they measure unto them or weigh for them, diminish. 3 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again 4 On a Mighty Day, 5 A Day whereon mankind shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 Woe to them! Let them know that the records of the sinner's deeds are in Sijin. 7 And what can make you know what is sijjeen? 8 it is a written record. 9 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 10 Who call the Day of judgement a lie! 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 who, when listening to Our revelations, say, "These are only ancient legends". 13 No indeed; but that they were earning has rusted upon their hearts. 14 No indeed! On that Day they will be screened off from seeing their Lord, 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 and it will be said to them: 'This is that which you belied' 17 No indeed; the book of the pious is in Illiyun; 18 And what do you know what the Illiyoon are! 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 upon their faces thou wilt see the brightness of bliss. 24 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, 25 whose seal is musk -- so after that let the strivers strive -- 26 And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim, 27 A fountain from which only they who are honoured drink. 28 The sinners laughed at the believers 29 When passing by them, they would wink at one another 30 And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. 31 And when they saw them, they said: verily these are the strayed ones. 32 Whereas they were not sent over them as watchers. 33 But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers: 34 On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things). 35 Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? 36
