Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
