The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
