The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
