Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a high Garden 10 hearing there no babble; 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
