Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The disbelieving People of the Book(s) and the polytheists would not have left their religion until the clear proof came to them. 1 a Messenger from God, reciting pages purified, 2 wherein there are ordinances of ever-true soundness and clarity. 3 Nor did the People of the Book(s) get divided until after the clear proof came to them. 4 And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. 5 The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans will dwell forever in hell; they are the worst of all creatures. 6 [And,] verily, those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds - it is they, they who are the best of all creatures. 7 Their recompense lies with their Lord: Gardens of eternity beneath which rivers flow; therein they shall dwell, forever and ever. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him. All this is for him who fears his Lord. 8
