The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof, 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8
