The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
