O believers, devour not usury, doubled and redoubled, and fear you God; haply so you will prosper. 130 Save yourselves from the fire which is prepared for the unbelievers. 131 Obey God and the Prophet, that you may be treated with mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to the for-giveness of your Lord and to a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the God-fearing. 133 Those who expend in weal and woe, and the repressors of rage and the pardoners of men; and Allah loveth the doers of good. 134 who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God, and pray forgiveness for their sins -- and who shall forgive sins but God? -- and do not persevere in the things they did and that wittingly. 135 (As for) these-- their reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide in them, and excellent is the reward of the laborers. 136 There are many examples [of the communities] that have passed away before you: travel through the land, and see what was the end of those who rejected the Truth. 137 This is a declaration for mankind, a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil) 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If a wound has befallen you a similar wound has already befallen the people who are opposed to you. We make such movements to men in turn so that Allah might mark out those who are the true men of faith and select from among you those who do really bear witness (to the Truth): for Allah does not love the wrong-doers, 140 and so that Allah will examine those who believe and efface the unbelievers. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 You were longing for death, before you met it. Now you have seen it with your own eyes. 143
