Surely We have revealed the Book to you with the truth that you may judge between people by means of that which Allah has taught you; and be not an advocate on behalf of the treacherous. 105 Seek forgiveness from God. He is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 106 And do not argue on behalf of those who betray themselves, surely, Allah does not love the sinful traitor. 107 They hide themselves from men, but hide not themselves from God; for He is with them while they meditate at night discourse unpleasing to Him; God encompasses the things they do. 108 You might argue on their behalf in the life of this world: but who will argue on their behalf with God on the Day of Resurrection and who will be their defender? 109 He who does evil or acts against his own interests (by disbelieving), then prays for God's forgiveness, will find God compassionate and merciful. 110 And whoever earns sin, his earnings will only be against himself; and Allah is the Knowing, Wise. 111 And whosoever earnoth a vice or a sin, and thereafter casteth it on an innocent, he hath surely borne a calumny and a manifest sin. 112
