O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness and prayer. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast. 153 And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah: dead. Nay, they are living, but ye perceive not. 154 And We will surely prove you with aught of fear and hunger and diminution in riches and lives and fruits; and bear thou the glad tidings unto the patient; 155 Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. 156 Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 Those who conceal the evidence of the truth and the guidance We have revealed, after We have made them clear to people in the Scripture, will be rejected by God and so do others. 159 Excepted, however, shall be they that repent, and put themselves to rights, and make known the truth: and it is they whose repentance I shall accept - for I alone am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Dispenser of Grace. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving -- upon them shall rest the curse of God and the angels, and of men altogether, 161 Abiding in it; their chastisement shall not be lightened nor shall they be given respite. 162 Your God is One God. There is no god except He. He is the Merciful, the Most Merciful. 163
