Hizb 28
< random >
۞ And Allah has said: Take not two gods, He is only one Allah; so of Me alone should you be afraid. 51 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and religion is His for ever. Will ye then fear any other than Allah? 52 And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans; 53 Then, when He has removed the harm from you, behold! Some of you associate others in worship with their Lord (Allah). 54 showing no gratitude for what We have given them. Enjoy yourselves awhile; but soon you will know! 55 They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. 56 They assign daughters to Allah - glory be to Him - whereas they assign to themselves what they truly desire! 57 for, whenever any of them is given the glad tiding of [the birth of] a girl, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? 59 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, for them only is the evil state; and the Majesty of Allah is Supreme; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise. 60
