They ask thee concerning the Spirit (of inspiration). Say: "The Spirit (cometh) by command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men!)" 85 And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us. 86 Except as a Mercy from your Lord. Verily! His Grace unto you (O Muhammad SAW) is ever great. 87 Say: Verily, though mankind and the jinn should assemble to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof though they were helpers one of another. 88 In this Quran, We have set out all kinds of examples for people, yet most of them persist in denying the truth. 89 They have said, "We shall never believe you until you cause a spring to gush forth from the earth, 90 “Or you have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and you make gushing rivers to flow in it.” 91 or cause the sky to fall on us in pieces as you claimed, or bring Allah and the angels before us, face to face; 92 Or, you come to possess a house of gold; or ascend to the skies, though we shall not believe in your having ascended till you bring down a book for us which we could read." Say: "Glory to my Lord. I am only man and a messenger." 93
