T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
