Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders. 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the treasures of it, and We do not send it down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud so We give it to you to drink of, nor is it you who store it up. 22 And most surely We bring to life and cause to die and We are the heirs. 23 And indeed We know those among you who came forward and indeed We know those among you who remained behind. 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25
