The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
