The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
