The people of 'Ad, too, rejected the messengers. 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: fear ye not? 124 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 125 Have fear of God and obey me. 126 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 127 “What! You build a structure on every height, to laugh at the passers-by?” 128 "And do you get for yourselves palaces (fine buildings) as if you will live therein for ever. 129 "And when ye exert your strong hand, do ye do it like men of absolute power? 130 So fear God, and obey me; 131 and [thus] be conscious of Him who has [so] amply provided you with all [the good] that you might think of 132 Who has provided you with flocks and children 133 and gardens, and springs: 134 Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day." 135 They said: it is equal unto us whether thou admonishest or art not of the admonishers. 136 This is but a custom of the ancients. 137 “And we will not be punished.” 138 And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
