The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ A. L. M. 1 Do the people reckon that they will be left to say 'We believe,' and will not be tried? 2 We had certainly tried those who lived before them to make sure who were truthful in their faith and who were liars. 3 Do the evil-doers suppose that they will get the better of Us? How evil is their judgement! 4 For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows (all things). 5 And whosoever strive, striveth only for himself: verily Allah is Independent of the worlds. 6 And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most certainly do away with their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they did. 7 And We have enjoined on man goodness to his parents, and if they contend with you that you should associate (others) with Me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, to Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you did. 8 We shall surely admit those who believe and do good deeds to the company of the righteous. 9 There are among men those who say: "We believe in God;" yet if they happen to suffer in the cause of God they take oppression by men as punishment from God. And if help comes to them from your Lord, they say: "We were with you." Does not God know what is hidden in the hearts of men? 10 And most certainly Allah will know those who believe and most certainly He will know the hypocrites. 11 And [He is aware, too, that] they who are bent on denying the truth speak [thus, as it were,] to those who have attained to faith: "Follow our way [of life,] and we shall indeed take your sins upon ourselves!" But never could they take upon themselves aught of the sins of those [whom they would thus mislead]: behold, they are liars indeed! 12 They will certainly carry their own burdens and other burdens besides their own. They will assuredly be called to account on the Day of Resurrection concerning the fabrications which they contrived. 13

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
