1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
