3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
