Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
