Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
