THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
