SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
