Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
