Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
