Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
