And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
