And indeed We have created man and We know what his soul instils in him; and We are nearer to him than the hearts artery. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
