Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We already seized them with the chastisement, yet they abased not themselves to their Lord nor were they humble; 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
